02/19/2023 - National Showcase - Highland Park (DFW), TX Jamison is a C/OF prospect who will graduate in 2024. Tall frame athletic build with strength present and plenty of room to add strength throughout. Ran his 60-yard dash in 6.99 seconds. Primary C, shows good agility with quick feet and ability to catch outer half of baseball. Sets up in an athletic/square primary stance, with an easy sway, while working his thumb under and sticks baseball. Creates good blocking angles and is quick to get down. Good direction to second base, with quick/clean transfers, and accurate/on-line throws. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot, with a short arm action, and an arm velocity up to 94mph with a best pop time of 1.94 seconds. In the OF, he starts with quick/active feet and a good prep step. Creates good fielding angles as he fields from a square fielding position. Clean transfers into a high 3/4 release point with on-line throws into infield. A right-handed hitter, hits from an athletic and even stance. Smooth timing, with relaxed hands, and good barrel control at contact. A direct barrel path enables him to hit balls into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 91mph during BP. With another year of development, we see this 2-way prospect having opportunities to play at the next level.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
