12/27/2011 - Vero Beach Christmas Camp and Tournament Jared is a 2016 graduate who plays middle infield and is a RHP. He is a tall/lanky/high reared and athletic kid. He throws from a high 3/4 arm angle with loose/quick arm action and he is accurate/consistent to his target. His arm strength is above average and his ball has carry. As an infielder Jared displayed sure/soft hands, efficient footwork, controlled approach, good agility and playable range. He also showed the same types of skills in the outfield as well but overall he needs to work on his basic fielding position. On the mound Jared has solid mechanics but he needs to use his lower half and glove side. At the plate he has an athletic setup, hands back load, square/leg kick stride, centered balance, lower half gets through with firm front side, good bat speed, short/level swing path and fluid/smooth rhythm. He made hard/consistent contact to all fields and he has a good line drive approach. Shows a lot of potential to be a good "small ball" type hitter. He needs to work at letting the ball travel into the proper hitting zones and being confident in his abilities. If Jared puts the work in there is no reason he should not be a standout player in the future.
