01/15/2016 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Jared had an impressive showing at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament - running a 6.85 sixty & a 4.3 home to first. Offensively, he flashed plus pop generating good bat speed by rotating his core and extending out over the front side. He was fluid and consistent to get into a strong hitting position with his hands activated, and was aggressive to take hacks. Defensively, he showed mature feel with a soft/sure glove and worked with smooth actions to finish plays. His feet moved him well to get into position and he controlled his body to work through the ball with momentum and strength. Overall - Jared is an intriguing ball player that should turn heads in his junior spring.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
