01/19/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Jared continues to shine with his baseball abilities at the Preseason Rookie All American showcase. At 2B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. He starts in an athletic ready position and fields in a square position. Glove action is sure and present well out front. He moves well laterally, utilizing his foot quickness (7.37 60 time) in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup and works on time. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half is aggressive rotating hips through the swing. With 3 years to further develop, Jared has potential with time and room to progress his game.

01/22/2023 - Official Player Development Membership - Bothell (Seattle), WA Jared is a 2B/RHP in the 2027 class. In the field, his feet are active and he centers his body to the baseball. Working to gain extension on his release will allow for more of a downward tilt on his pitches. At the plate, At the plate, he is short and compact. Hits the inside part of the baseball well and can use the whole field. Generates hard contact and with more strength, he will backspin baseballs to the gap. Overall, Jared has a great future in the game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
