01/08/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament (MS)
Jared is a 2-way player (3B/RHP) who plays the game hard. At 3B, he has active footwork and works into a square fielding position behind the GB. He presents his glove out in front and tracks GB's into a soft mitt. Transfer is clean with accurate throws across the diamond. A long toss program will help to increase arm strength which will aid in his overall development. As a hitter, this righty shows a square setup with simple/quiet actions and patience. He has a good eye for the zone and only swings at ones he likes (going 2 for 3 at the event with 2 singles and 2 walks). On the mound, this RHP works to keep all of his pitches down in the zone. FB ranges from 51-53 mph. Changeup has some sink and compliments his FB well. He is around the zone consistently and challenges hitters to swing the bat. Working to follow through and finish with more extension will help to improve effectiveness on both pitches. Only a 2027 grad - Jared has a solid skill-set with still a ton of time to progress.
01/17/2020 - Baseball Factory Spring Training in Arizona (Ages 12-14)
Jared continues to shine on the diamond. At 3B, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active and plays through balls with his body. Glove action is firm but will benefit by presenting more out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 47-48 mph. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

He has good feel with the glove, his exchange is clean, and he throws with direction across the diamond. On the mound, Jared has good balance over the rubber, and a clean arm circle. He has a compact delivery, a controlled landing, and he competes in the zone with his pitches. At the plate, Jared has an athletic stance, good balance, and he loads well. He makes consistent contact and gets good extension through the ball. Overall skills can improve with work on the following.
