02/17/2024 - All-In National Showcase - Marlborough (Boston), MA Jared is a solid, strong 3B who is a prospect on the diamond. At 3B, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents out front. He shows a good feel for the backhand play. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry (83 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying well above average power potential through a closed setup and strong base. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He swing with intent and has strength in his swing with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Jared has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
