12/28/2014 - National Tryout - Swarthmore (Philadelphia), PA
Jarhett continues to work hard on his game. In the OF, he is aggressive and hustles into position behind the fly-ball. He fields the ball cleanly, gathers well, and works in-line toward his target. At the hot corner, Potts moves well to his glove side. He is sure handed, fields the ball cleanly and gains momentum through the GB. Presenting his glove out in front more will help to improve abilities at 3B. With the bat, this RHH shows a balanced approach with a solid base. Swing path is level as he connects and hits line drives. More lower 1/2 drive will result in increased lower 1/2. Only a 2019 grad - Jarhett still has a lot of time to work on and develop his skills.
07/07/2014 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition
Jarhett is a nice young man who unfortunately was not feeling well most of camp. Defensively, he showed good speed, accuracy to target and he works from the ground up. Jarhett can improve by taking better routes to the ball, playing through more and continuing to strengthen his arm. At the plate Jarhett displayed a good setup, tracks the ball well and he is a good situational hitter. Improvement can be made by getting better separation on load, finishing the backside and being more aggressive in the zone.

Jarhett is a lean, 2-way player who plays OF and SS. In the OF, Jarhett has playable hands and feet, and he reads the ball of the bat well. His exchange is clean, and he has accuracy to his cutoff man. In the INF, Jarhett has okay hands, he keeps the ball in front, and he gets the ball across the diamond with some accuracy. At the plate, Jarhett has a square set-up, an activated load, and he swings in good rhythm. He has a level swing and squares the ball up well on the bat. Abilities can improve with work on the following.
1. More aggressiveness
2. Follow throws
3. Loosen arm / long toss
1. Pre-pitch actions
2. Soften glove
3. Exchange / throw
2. More lower 1/2
3. Shorten hands to the ball
