01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Jaron showed as a RHP and was a prospect at the Under Armour Pre Season All-American tournament. On the mound, this righty has a 3 pitch arsenal in which he keeps hitters guessing. FB shows a range of 80-85 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late sharp break. Slider is harder with tight spin and short/sharp break. Off speed stuff show as quality pitches that will get outs. Control is outstanding as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches.

06/08/2019 - 2019 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National Texas Jaron showed only on the mound at the event and continues to show a big upside. Delivery is sound, repeatable allowing his arm action to work loose through the plate. Fastball showed a range of 80-83 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with sharp breaking action. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for with sinking action. Off speed stuff show as outstanding pitches that will get outs. Control is tremendous as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Jaron.

05/12/2019 - College PREP - Justin (DFW), TX Jaron has showed continual improvement from year to year as a 2020 RHP. He has improved his FB velocity in the past year 10 mph from 73-83. On the mound he has a loose and free arm action and rotates to the target well. His 4 seam is 82-83 with command. The CB sits between 12-6 and 1-5 at 67-69 mph with late break and shows consistent strikes. His CH is 72-75 with some slight tail and FB arm speed. As a 2020 graduate, Jaron continues to show that he is willing to do what it takes to play at the next level.

04/08/2018 - College PREP - Plano (DFW), TX Jaron continues to show improvements in his game. On the bump, delivery is sound/repeatable allowing his loose, quick arm action to work well to the plate. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 73 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for the pitch with sinking action. Control is solid as he locates to both sides of the plate. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he has improved his hitting/power potential through a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At 2B, he shows smooth, clean actions. He displays proper footwork in creating good angles in attacking and playing through balls with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness.

01/08/2017 - National Tryout Plus - San Antonio, TX Jaron continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 66 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but needs to develop more movement. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he continues to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he works to utilize his lower half more efficiently. At 2B, he moves well laterally, displaying range. Feet are active as he works to square balls up. Glove action is clean but will benefit by presenting more out front. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds of the double play.

12/20/2015 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic - Session 1 Jaron is a gamer who hustles all over the field. He works hard day in and day out - working to be the best he can be. At 2B - Jaron hustles around the GB into a square fielding position. He secures the ball with soft/sure hands and gathers well. Throws are accurate as he works through the ball and gains ground toward 1B. With the bat, Jaron shows a square setup with patience waiting for his pitch. He swings on a level path and works to engage his lower 1/2 to generate torque with some pop off of the barrel. Added strength (physical maturity) will aid in getting more power at the plate. On the mound, Jaron fills up the zone and throws strikes consistently. He works his FB to both sides of the plate and challenges hitters to put the ball in play. Breaking ball shows 11/5 shape complimenting his FB well. Finishing with more extension on his follow through will help to improve effectiveness on all pitches. DeBerry (2020 grad) is a hard worker who still has a ton of time to develop his skills.

07/13/2015 - Interactive Video Program - Carrollton (DFW), TX Jaron is a young LHH 2-way player as a RHP/2B. On the bump, this righty has a 3-pitch mix (FB, SL, CH) coming from a 3/4 arm slot. He works to a controlled balance point and maintains level shoulders. FB ranges from 60-61 mph while showing run. Slider has a 10/4 shape as he keeps the ball down in the zone. He works pitches to both sides of the dish and throws strikes. At 2B, he has quick/active footwork and is aggressive to come and get the GB. He makes the plays smoothly with a clean exchange to throw. At the plate, Jaron shows a square setup with good balance. He lets the ball travel into the zone and waits for his pitch. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
