04/29/2018 - College PREP - Douglasville (Atlanta), GA Jarrett is an athletic SS who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is well above average as indicated by his 60 time of 7.07. At SS, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active displaying proper footwork as he plays through balls with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Throws are accurate with zip (83 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying well above average hitting / power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are strong and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. With 2 years to further develop, Jarrett has the makings of a special type player with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
