This R/R MIF shines on the diamond. Defensively, he works quickly with fluid actions, fielding the ball and gathering well. He can cover ground and make the tough plays. At the plate, Jarrod shows a simple/balanced approach with quick twitch actions. He connects with plus bat speed and drives the ball on a line. Jarrod the skills that will produce on the diamond.
10/16/2013 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic
Jarrod continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.22 runner. He utilizes his quick / athletic feet well in attacking ground balls and presents soft / sure hands well out front. Lateral movement is a plus as he displays range in the MIF. For defensive grade to continue to improve, he needs to play through balls more. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds / turns of the double play. Throws are accurate as he gets rid of the baseball quickly but needs by build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, Beggiani shows an open / athletic setup with rhythm. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel with baseball jumping off the bat when centered, mainly to the pull side. For hitting grades to continue to improve, he needs to work to keep hands inside the ball to utilize all fields. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great attitude and is very coachable. He knows how to play the game and displays a big time desire to be the best he can be.

Jarrod is an athletic 2B that will graduate in 2015. Foot speed is solid as indicated by his 7.28 60 time. Defensive abilities are outstanding as he utilizes his quick feet well in attacking ground balls and plays through well with his body. Hands are soft / clean / sure and he shows big play potential in the MIF. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, Beggiani continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick, generating bat speed to and through a level swing path, creating extension. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields and shows a feel for the barrel with power numbers improving as he learns to use his lower half more. With 2 years to further to develop, Jarrod has the makings to be a special type player and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches.
