10/09/2019 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic Jarron is a coachable C prospect who showed well during the Arizona Fall Classic. Behind the plate, Jarron sits in an athletic stance and receives with a relaxed glove. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate with carry through the 2B bag. He is efficient moving to block and centers the ball in the middle of his body. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a short stride. He gets into a simple load and extends through the ball well, leading to great pop to his pull side. Overall, Jarron is a talented prospect who has the skill set to contribute at the next level.

04/07/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Billings, MT Jarron continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has the makings of a special type player at the next level. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate, hitting / power potential have improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel and has strength in his swing with gap-to-gap pop. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line through a clean transfer / exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times showed in the 2.10 range with accuracy on his throws. He tracks the ball well and presents a low target. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Receiving / blocking skills show as outstanding tools that will play well at the next level.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Jaron is a strong, athletic C/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. With flexion and good sway he pockets pitches with a soft/sure mitt. Pop times remain in the low 2.05 range with accuracy and on line zip to his throws. At the plate, he has fluid rhythm while getting good hand separation. Barrel is whipped (87 mph exit velocity) through the zone as he connects with strength. The ball jumps off of his barrel as he crushes it to the gaps. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 78-79 mph on a downhill plane. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup and shows good feel for pitch. Control is well above average as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Jaron has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
