06/18/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (HS) Jaryn is a 3B prospect who will graduate in 2022 who continues to improve his overall skillsets. Tall frame athletic build and plenty of physical projection remaining. At 3B, he starts with active/efficient footwork with good lateral movement. Creates good fielding angles and ability to pick out hops in an athletic/square fielding position. Clean transfer into a 3/4 slot with accurate/on-line throws across the diamond at 84mph. A right-handed hitter hits from an upright and even stance. On-time swing, with good extension, and has strength at contact. Showed good barrel control as he hit balls into both gaps. In live game action, Jaryn was 6-8 with a triple, double, and 4 singles with a bat exit velocity of 80mph. With continued growth and development, Jaryn should have a bright future on the baseball field.

11/08/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Jackson, MS Jaryn is a strong 3B/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2022. In the field, Jaryn shows fluid footwork and covers ground well. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball with soft hands. His exchange is clean and he gets rid of the ball quickly, creating good carry across the diamond. Staying low when moving to throw can help Jaryn make more accurate throws. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He stays direct through the ball with fast bat speed and good extension, leading to loud contact and great power. Jaryn can barrel up more baseballs by working a smoother load into his swing. On the mound, Jaryn gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a quick arm and extends through his release, staying inline toward the plate. Jaryn shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 74mph with sinking action. Breaking ball sits from 66-68mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 66-70mph with sinking action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Driving his lower half more can help Jaryn generate more arm velocity. Overall, Jaryn is a talented prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
