12/27/2023 - National Showcase - Marlborough (Boston), MA Jason is an OF/1B who will graduate in 2026. Jason continues to make small improvements in all aspects of his game. In the OF he starts with active feet and a good prep step. He works behind and through the ball with ability to pick out hops. Has a clean transfer and creates momentum to his target. Made on-line throws into infield from a high 3/4 arm slot. At 1B he shows athletic actions with good body control at baseball. Fields from an athletic fielding position with ability to throw from multiple arm slots. Made accurate throws to all bases with a quick release. He hits from an upright and open stance. A lower half driven swing with a middle of the field approach. A flat barrel path allows him to hit line drives hard to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 76mph. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Jason making huge strides on the baseball field.

03/26/2023 - National Showcase - Marlborough (Boston), MA Jason is a 2026 LHH OF/1B prospect from Concord, MA. At 1B, he shows off active, efficient feet and and range with agile movements. He gets in a low, athletic fielding position and does nicely to field the ball out in front. He makes accurate throws and carries his momentum through his targets. He has impressive awareness around the bag and gives his infielders a nice target at first. In the OF, he shows off quick movements and covers a lot of ground. He takes good angles to the baseball and makes all the routine plays, catching the ball high and out in front. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate throws to his targets/cutoffs. At the plate, he starts in a squared stance and gets a good load. He is quiet in his setup and his base is calm pre-pitch. He has good balance and his hips turn well. He has an on-plane bat path that lends itself to a middle of the field approach. Spray type hitter that can utilize all fields. Excited to see more of Jason with 3+ more years of high school ball ahead of him!

12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Jason continues to shine in his baseball abilities. In the OF, he displays smooth fluid actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick (80 mph velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn as he maintains good balance.

12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory East Coast Winter Classic Jason is a hard working engaged OF in the class of 2026 out of Massachusetts. Defensively, he displayed the ability to get good jumps and track the ball well. He did a good job of working behind the baseball to set up his throws to be accurate to the target. Offensively, he used a slightly open stance with high loose hands. He had controlled timing to help him deliver the barrel through the zone and make line drive consistent contact with power to the pull side. Jason could benefit from programs/drills such as long toss, speed & agility, ground ball footwork and staying inside the baseball when hitting.

11/14/2021 - All-In Membership - Marlborough (Boston), MA Jason is an OF/1B prospect who will graduate in 2026. In the field, Jason shows active footwork and covers ground well. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he makes consistent throws to his target. Long tossing can help Jason build up his arm strength. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an open stance with center balance. He is smooth to load and leads well with his lower half. He works through a direct swing and drives the ball from gap to gap. Jason can barrel up more baseballs by taking a more square stride. With five more years to develop, Jason has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
