03/06/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Kannapolis (Charlotte), NC Jason is a high level two-way (RHP/OF) prospect in the 2023 class. Checking in at 6’1/165, his impressive frame moves well in the field. He has the speed (6.84 60 yd) and arm strength (87 velo) that allows him to play all 3 OF spots with ease. In the OF, he plays the part well. He is a plus defender with smooth actions. He plays low to the ground with quick feet. Takes proper routes to the baseball and gets behind the it well. His feeds are accurate and have plenty of carry. On the mound, he has easy and loose arm action from the stretch. His high ¾ arm slot generates frequent strikes and movement. His FB topped at 85 with arm side run. His CB sat 70-1 with 11/5 shape and late tight spin. His CH has sinking action and sat 73-4. At the plate, he is an aggressive hitter. Stays balanced from start to finish and produces hard contact to the pull side. Has smooth timing with his hand separation and engages his lower half well. Working to hit the inside part of the baseball will allow him to utilize his strength for full field distribution of power. Overall, Jason has a high skill set and will make a fine addition to a college roster.

10/24/2021 - All-In Membership - Atlanta, GA Jason is an athletic RHP/OF who is a top prospect on the diamond. In the OF not many balls get down that are hit his way. Range is outstanding as indicated by his 60 time of 6.97. Transfer exchange is smooth as he zips throws (90 mph velocity) on a line through his target. He has the versatility to play all 3 OF spots effectively. At the plate, he continues to shine. He stands in with a solid/strong base and has fluid rhythm to load. Barrel delivery is short/quick with aggression (84 mph exit velocity) as he connects with power driving the ball with gap to gap pop. On the mound, he works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and fires from a clean/loose arm action. He gets strong glove-side lead and stays directional toward the dish. FB ranges from 82-84 mph. Breaking ball shows 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with tailing action. Off speed stuff show as quality pitches that will get outs. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Jason has a tremendous upside and will get looks from the top collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
