01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Jason continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities at the Preseason All American event. At the plate, hitting / power potential is outstanding through an athletic, open setup. Hands are quick (90 mph exit velocity) and works through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. At 2B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks ball and plays through with his body. Hands are firm and presents well out front. Throws are accurate with carry (84 mph velocity) to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness (6.85 60 time) in covering a lot of ground. Jason has a high skill set and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

09/02/2022 - Baseball Factory's All-Region Tournament (HS) with Video Showcase Jason is a 2023 2B who showcased his skills at the All-Region Tournament. At 2B, he starts with a good pre-pitch routine and active/efficient footwork. Fields from the ground up, with a low funnel, as he tries to center ball. Fields out front, with a clean transfer, and the ability to throw from multiple arm slots. Made accurate throws to first base with an arm velocity up to 82mph. A right-handed hitter, he starts with an athletic and even stance. Quiet head/eyes enable him to track pitches well. Good bat speed through the hitting zone, with extension out front, and ability to hit balls into both gaps. Reached base multiple times and had a bat exit velocity up to 85mph. With continued growth and development, we foresee him having a bright future on the baseball field.

07/27/2022 - Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Jason continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities at the SOUTHWEST 17U TOURNAMENT. At 2B, defensive abilities are now outstanding as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents out front. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground in the MIF. Throws are accurate with carry (84 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, hitting / power potential is now outstanding through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Jason is a 2023 2B prospect who showcased his skills at the Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic. At 2B, he starts in an athletic position and gets good 1st step reads off bat. He fields from an athletic fielding position and has a quick 2-hand transfer. Accurate throws from a 3/4 arm slot and an arm velocity up to 77mph. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and open stance with comfortable hands. Starts with a small hand load, with a short glide step, and showed good barrel control with a smooth barrel path. Hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 85mph. During the games, he reached base 6 times with 3 singles, 2 walks, and reached on an error. Jason is a solid player who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field with continued development.

10/31/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Albuquerque, NM Jason is a SS in the class of 2023. His tools at the plate are the strongest part of his game. In the field, he flashes good footwork and the ability to cover ground to both sides of his body. Fields from a low position with his hands presented out front. Clean exchanges and strong arm lead to good throws across the diamond. Raw arm velo was up to 83 MPH. At the plate, he starts in a tall stance. Does a good job staying balanced throughout his swing. Flashes late bat whip with good hand to hip separation. Exit velo worked up to 85 MPH. Shows a good approach and works gap to gap. Jason is a good prospect with 1 year of high school left that we could see playing at the next level with continued development.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
