09/03/2021 - Baseball Factory's All-Region Tournament (HS) Jasper is a class of 2023 3B/OF. He shows off solid athleticism and a projectable baseball frame. In the field, shows a good ability to use his feet to take him downhill to the baseball and can throw from multiple arm angles. Also, flashes the athleticism for corner OF with carry on his throws. At the plate, he showed a good load and strong hands with balance throughout his whole swing. Has an advanced gap-to-gap approach with power bat potential with exit velos as high as 100 MPH. In game action, he went 5-8 with extra base hits to LF gap and RF wall.

10/23/2019 - Under Armour SoCal Classic, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Jasper continues to show as a top prospect with his baseball abilities. At SS, he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active as attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and carry (84 mph velocity) to his target. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick and works through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Jasper has a great personality and works hard to be the best player he can be.

10/16/2019 - Arizona Freshman Fall Classic Jasper continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.50 runner. At SS, defensive abilities are now well above average as he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active as attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and carry (84 mph velocity) to his target. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, hitting abilities are now well above average through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and works through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At the event, he was 2 for 6 with a 3B and 2 RBI. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

09/08/2019 - Interactive Video Program - La Verne (Los Angeles), CA Jasper raised arm velocity to 78 MPH and exit velocity to 76 MPH during his last workout in La Verne. He is an athletic SS with quick/fluid feet, agile movements, and he fields low and squarely. He has a soft/presentable glove, he takes good angles to field, and his arm is consistent and accurate with carry. Offensively, Jasper has a tall/athletic stance, a short stride, and he swings in good rhythm. He has fast bat speed, a simple swing path, and he makes hard contact.

03/17/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Monterey Park (Los Angeles), CA Jasper showed well at SS and at the plate during his last workout with The Factory. Defensively, Jasper has active feet, he takes good angles to the ball, and he fields in rhythm. He has a presentable glove, a quick exchange, and he throws with a short/quick arm action across the diamond. Offensively, Jasper has an athletic set-up, a square stride, and good balance. He swings aggressively, stays inside the ball, and he makes hard contact. Jasper can continue to get better with work on the following.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Jasper is a skilled/athletic LHH MIF who showed well during his time at the Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament. Defensively, he displays active prep footwork and moves well right to left on the balls of his feet. Hands are presented out in front as he funnels smoothly to a clean transfer. At the plate, he shows a open stance with simple/quiet actions. He has fluid rhythm to load, fires the barrel on a level path, engages his lower 1/2 well and hits line-drives. This SS prospect has a bright future ahead of him in the game.

07/22/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Jasper continues to shine on the diamond. At SS, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up, presenting hands as he makes the plays. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate, flashing carry but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

04/29/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Plymouth Meeting (Philadelphia), PA Jasper worked out at SS and in the OF during his last workout with the Factory. At SS, Jasper showed soft hands, active feet, and solid lateral movements. He fields in a low position, flashes a smooth backhand, and has a clean exchange with accuracy and momentum toward his target. In the OF, Jasper makes plays, he reads the ball off the bat well, and follows his throws toward his target. At the plate, Jasper has a solid lefty stroke, good balance, and he loads well. He swings aggressively, has a compact swing, and makes square contact to all fields. Overall abilities can improve with work on the following.

08/03/2017 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 12-14) Jasper is a talented SS/OF prospect who has a versatile skill set and graduates in 2023. In the field, Jasper plays with fluid, active footwork and agile actions showing above average range. He presents his glove and fields the ball in an athletic, low position. Jasper has a clean exchange leading into a quick arm action throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. He plays with good momentum through the baseball showing strong, accurate throws across the diamond. As a switch-handed hitter, Jasper has a square setup with a centered balance. He has fluid rhythm with a smooth load and square stride. Jasper has a direct, on-plane swing path producing consistent contact. He is a line drive type hitter who has the ability to spray the ball to all fields. Overall, Jasper has talent and the right approach on both sides of the ball to give his game high upside.

03/19/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Monterey Park (Los Angeles), CA Jasper is an athletic, 2-way player at SS/OF. In the middle infield, he presents his hands and stays low as he fields GB's. He has a clean exchange to throw and makes accurate throws to his target. In the OF, he takes solid/athletic routes as he tracks down fly balls. He displays soft hands and fires his throws with an easy arm stroke. Offensively, Jasper has a smooth rhythm to load and tracks the ball well into the zone. He stays balanced throughout his swing as he creates consistent contact with each swing. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
