08/28/2016 - National Tryout Plus - Farmingville (Long Island), NY Javone is well-built outfield prospect graduating in 2019. Defensively, Javone works with efficient footwork and short, agile motions giving him above average range in the outfield. He presents his glove and softly receives the baseball with a clean exchange. Throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot, Javone has accurate consistent throws. At the plate, Javone has an open stance with a firm front side and takes short stride. He has smooth rhythm and sprayed the ball with power to the opposite field. A looser load and shorter bat could increase Javone's consistency. Overall, Javone is an athletic prospect with upside as he continues to polish his baseball skills.

08/24/2014 - National Tryout - Farmingville (Long Island), NY Javone continues to work hard on his game. In the OF, he shows good energy with hustle working into position behind the fly-ball. He fields the ball cleanly, gathers well, and works in-line toward his target. A long toss program will help to increase arm strength which will aid in his development as an outfielder. With the bat, this RHH shows a simple/quiet setup. He remains balanced throughout his swing and connects with the ball. A shorter/more direct swing path and more lower 1/2 drive will help to increase power at the plate. A young, 2019 grad - Javone has a ton of time to develop his skills.

12/27/2013 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic Javone is a young, athletic Outfielder with very good speed. Defensively in the Outfield, he has a very good release, a loose arm with carry, and has very solid, athletic footwork. He continues to improve his positioning and hands as well as his ability to attack the ball and work through toward his target(s). At the plate, he possesses a strong, athletic stance with a good swing path. He stays balanced throughout his swing and has plus bat speed. Javone will continue to develop as a hitter as he continues to work on his timing and getting to his launch position at the correct time. Javone works hard to improve and has a quiet confidence that coaches love.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
