09/03/2021 - Baseball Factory's All-Region Tournament (HS) Jaxon continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved now showing well above average hitting abilities with solid power potential through a balanced setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. At SS, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls but needs to play through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally displaying range in the MIF. Throws are accurate with carry (84 mph velocity) across the diamond.

06/18/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (HS) Jaxson is a SS/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2024. Medium frame athletic build with projectable frame with room to fill throughout moving forward. At SS, he starts with a good pre-pitch routine and active/efficient footwork. Good rhythm to his actions and ability to cover ground. Creates good fielding angles, with a low funnel, and ability to play through the ball. Show good glove action and fields the ball out front. Throws from a 3/4 arm slot with accurate/on-line throws across diamond and an arm velocity of 89mph. Good touch on his DP feeds. Right-handed pitcher who has athletic actions and throws with intent. Throws from a 3/4 arm slot with good arm whip and good extension out front. 2 pitch pitcher whose FB topped was up to 80mph and he throws a developing changeup with tailing action in the zone. A right-handed hitter begins with an upright stance and open stance. Smooth swing, with good hand separation, and a flat barrel through the strike zone. Hit line drives into both gaps. Jaxson reached base 4 times, with an RBI, and a bat exit velocity of 73mph in live game action. With 3 years of continued growth and development, we can see him having opportunities to play at the next level.

02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (HS - East) Jaxon is a talented SS/RHP that will graduate in 2024. In the infield Jaxon shows athletic footwork as he reacts to the ball off the bat. He is agile in both directions fielding the ball with a clean and confident glove. He makes swift exchanges and keeps his momentum moving to the target allowing him to deliver the throw with accuracy and carry. Hitting, Jaxon sets up in a square and athletic posture that allows him to keep his swing in control and repeat. His swing is compact creating good hip/shoulder separation hitting line drives to all fields. On the mound, Jaxon attacks hitters with a FB/CB combo. He shows confidence on the mound using simple mechanics to deliver the pitch. He separates on time and rides the slope well finishing with a loose and clean arm action. Jaxon shows great upside and projectability and we look forward to seeing his growth.

07/18/2020 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Jaxon continues to show as a top prospect on the diamond. In the MIF, defensive abilities are solid as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate with zip (81 mph exit velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine through a crouched setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At the event, he was 4 for 8 with a 2B. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

02/17/2020 - Interactive Video Program - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Jaxon is a thin, athletic, 2-way player who plays SS and RHP. Defensively, Jaxon has quick feet, agile range, and soft hands. He fields low and athletically, he makes plays consistently, and his exchange is quick with a strong/accurate arm to his target. On the mound, Jaxon has good balance and a loose arm circle. He works well to his balance point, he keeps his eyes on target, and competes in the zone. Offensively, this RHH has a square stance, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He has a direct swing path, he makes hard/level contact, and he uses his lower body well. Overall skills can get even better with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
