12/27/2016 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Jaxon continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate, hitting abilities are now outstanding through a closed setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) through a direct / level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields, flashing gap-to-gap pop. The baseball comes off the bat a little differently. Once on base, he uses his outstanding foot quickness to get around the bases, displaying good instincts. At the event, he was 4 for 9. In the OF, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays quick, athletic actions. He uses his athletic feet well in his lateral movements and displays plus range, covering a lot of ground. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Throws display accuracy with carry as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and is a great team player.

07/31/2016 - College PREP - Gillette, WY Jaxon is an athletic OF who has a bright future on the diamond. Foot speed is well above average as indicated by his 7.00 60 time. In the OF, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth, athletic actions. He utilizes his athletic feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes and angles and utilizes two hands well through the fielding process. He works to get behind balls playing through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he reads balls well off the bat and covers a lot of ground. Arm strength is at a near pro level (89 mph velocity) with throws showing life, accuracy, and on line carry through his target. At the plate, he shows a squared, athletic setup with rhythm. Hands are quick (88 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the baseball, utilizing all fields. Barrel accuracy is a plus and he shows outstanding power potential with baseball exploding off the bat when centered. Jaxon has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
