06/28/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Bowie, MD Jaxson continues to show a promising future on the diamond with improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, hitting / power potential have improved through a tall, open setup. Hands are quick (87 exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process, centering balls out front. Pop times showed in 2.40 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (MS - East) Jaxson is a 2025 graduate that plays C/1B and attended the BF Opening Day Classic. Behind the plate, Jaxson shows a low primary stance with a confident glove as he tracks the pitch in. His secondary is athletic and gains ground well towards 2B as he works to throw. He gets rid of the ball with a clean exchange and delivers the throw to 2B. Blocking, Jaxson shows plus feel here blocking on time and centering the ball well keeping it in front of his body. Hitting, he starts with an open stance showing good rhythm with the pitcher with his load. He gets the barrel on plane early getting good extension through contact. This allows him to keep a consistent gap to gap approach. Jaxson has showed continual improvement every time we see him and is a hard worker on and off the field.

10/21/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Columbia, MD Jaxson is a C prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. Skill summary below.

09/04/2020 - MS All-Region Tournament Jaxon showed consistency from his last outing - just a month ago - while out in Tucson with Baseball Factory. Offensively, he was smooth/ fluid with his rhythm & timing and worked his lower half through contact with an on-plane path. He grabbed a couple walks and single in his AB's with two other balls put into play, pressuring the defense. Behind the plate, he sat square and centered the ball to receive with his glove presented. His exchange was clean and he threw from the 3/4 slot to 2nd. He showed his best pops to date, continuing the trend of quicker times. Overall - Jaxon is a very intriguing player that should continue focusing on small improvements every day that result in drastic growth from event to event!

08/23/2020 - Summer Pro Training Experience - MD (MS) Jaxson continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, he improved his power potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through level swing path. He makes consistent hard contact with power showing best to the pull side. Hitting grade will continue to improve as he works to get stride foot down sooner to work on time. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line through a clean transfer / exchange. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.88. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. He shows a squared setup and presents a soft mitt out front. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable, makes adjustments, and competes on the field.

06/07/2020 - Official Player Development Membership - Bowie, MD Jaxson is a C prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. Behind the plate, Jaxson shows active footwork and is agile moving to block. He sits in an athletic stance and receives with soft hands. He throws from a high 3/4 angle and keeps his throws accurate to the 2B bag. Getting rid of the ball quicker on his throws can help Jaxson improve defensively. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an open stance and takes a short stride. He is fluid getting back into his load and hits against a strong front side. He works to barrel up the baseball and drives the ball to his pull side. Jaxson can improve as a hitter by taking a more direct swing to the ball. Overall, Jaxson is a solid prospect who has the time and potential to further develop his skills on the field.

11/01/2019 - College Recruiting Day - Columbia, MD Jaxson is a C prospect who will graduate in 2025. Behind the plate, Jaxson presents a low target and receives with a strong glove. He moves well to block and keeps the ball in front of him. Long tossing to build up his arm strength can help Jaxson improve defensively. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a closed stance and takes a short stride. He drives through well with his lower half and takes a direct swing, leading to solid contact. Jaxson can improve as a hitter by working more of a load into his swing. With six more years to develop, Jaxson has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
