05/28/2020 - 2020 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National South Jayce is only a 2022 grad but he has already shown that he has an impact bat. He swings with intent - looking to do damage - using a hanging stride to stalk pitches and then attack. He has a knack for being on time and the ball jumps off his bat with loft power to the pull side. Defensively, he fits best in a LF profile with good instincts in the OF. Overall, this is a run-producing bat to follow closely.

10/26/2019 - 2019 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures South Jayce continues to show as a top prospect on the diamond. In the OF not many balls get down that are hit his way. Transfer exchange is smooth as he zips throws on a line through his target. He has the versatility to play all 3 OF spots effectively and shows big play potential. At the plate, he continues to shine with near pro level hitting/power potential through an athletic setup. He stands in with a solid/strong base and has fluid rhythm to load. Barrel delivery is short/quick with aggression as he connects with power driving to all parts of the field. With 3 years to further develop, Jayce has tremendous upside and will get looks from top collegiate coaches and pro scouts with his baseball abilities.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Jayce is a skilled/athletic OF prospect who shined at the plate. This strong righty steps into the box with a purpose. He gets back to a strong launch position, fires the barrel quickly with speed and engages his lower 1/2 well. He crushes the ball (exit velocity = 89 mph) and sends the ball to the deep parts of the park. He will be a run producer and went an impressive 4 for 6 with 4 singles and putting the ball in play on every AB. In the OF, he takes a quick first step and tracks down balls with speed. Actions are athletic/smooth as he secures the ball and works through it toward his target. This 2022 grad has a ton of upside and is one that will turn some heads in the years to come.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
