07/29/2019 - National Tryout Plus - York, PA Jayden is an athletic 2-way SS/RHP that will graduate in 2020. At SS, Jayden shows active footwork with solid range. He fields the ball low and square presenting a good glove. His exchanges are clean as he makes accurate and consistent throws with a short arm action. Improving DP feeds will help improve Jayden's infield play. Hitting, Jayden sets up in an athletic and square stance as he gets his load, he strides short and square. He shows fluid rhythm as he gets his foot down and rotate his lower half through. He shows a solid line drive approach to all fields. Jayden shows solid abilities in the field and on the bump.

08/02/2018 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training & Tournament at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 14-18) Jayden is an athletic SS/RHP who will graduate in 2020. At SS, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. At the event, he was 4 for 7. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 63-68 mph. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable. With 2 years to further develop, Jayden has abilities with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
