07/28/2021 - Baseball Factory Southwest Championships 17U Jayden continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a bright future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.20 runner. At the plate, power potential is now excellent through a crouched setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through level swing path. He makes consistent hard contact and has strength in his swing with power showing best to the pull side. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. He moves well laterally and utilizes his quick feet in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry (89 mph velocity) to his target. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 76-77 mph with sink. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Control is well above average as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

11/10/2019 - College PREP - Wildomar (Los Angeles), CA Jayden is an athletic RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and extends through on his release, staying inline towards the plate. He shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 80 mph. Breaking ball sits from 62-64 mph with 11/5 shape with gradual break. Changeup sits from 71-72 mph with sinking action. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. He can improve as a pitcher by long tossing to build up his arm strength. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive approach. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. With 3 years to further develop, Jayden has potential with time and room to continue to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
