07/27/2023 - Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Jayden is a SS in the 2024 class. Defensively, he shows smooth footwork in his groundball and double play actions. Moves with agility and fields in an athletic position. Glove is relaxed and presents the pocket well. Arm plays at 84-7 and working on a catch play routine will assist in improving accuracy. At the plate, he has a great set-up and his hands are comfortable. Gains a small and simple load and a controlled stride. Stays inside his feet for good balance and bat speed is 79 exit velo. Needs to level his path more to create more hard-hit contact rate. Overall, Jayden has the athletic ability to become a solid player in the 2024 class.

01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Jayden is a SS in the 2024 class who showed well at the BF Pre-Season event. In the field, he has fluid feet and agile movements in his ball pursuit. Can adjust to hops and reads the ball off the bat. Fields in an athletic and squared position with strong glove presentation. His exchanges are clean and uses a short and quick release. Can use multiple arm slots based on his defensive zones. Arm plays at 87 velo and his feeds are accurate. At the plate, he begins is a squared stance and uses a short stride. Loads his hands well and timing is smooth. Stays inside his feet and uses quick hands to create a level path. Shows line drive production to all fields. Overall Jayden is a top notch player and a must follow in the 2024 class.

12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory West Coast Winter Classic (Ages 12-14) Jayden continues to show the makings of a special type player with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At SS, defensive abilities have improved as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and carry on his throws. At the plate, hitting potential has improved through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He has strength and makes consistent hard contact with power showing best to the pull side. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 71 mph. Fastball showed a range of 65-71 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

12/27/2018 - 2018 Inaugural West Coast Winter Classic - La Verne, CA Jayden is an athletic and talented 2024 2-way prospect that worked hard all week. At SS, Jayden is on time with his prep step, has a quick first step to the ball, and presents a low/early glove. He has a clean exchange and throws from multiple arm angles. At the plate, Jayden starts in an open stance, stays short to the ball, and makes consistent contact. He needs to continue to load his hands back into the drive position, attack the inside part of the ball, and create backside rotation with his lower half. He did a good job using the whole field during the games but he needs to be more aggressive on fastballs. On the bump, Jayden has good mound presence, gathers over the rubber, and separates on time. He competes on the mound and commands his fastball down in the zone. He needs to continue to work north to south and develop a changeup. Jayden will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

11/08/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Jayden is a talented SS/RHP prospect who plays the game athletically. In the field, Jayden plays with an aggressive approach and active footwork. He shows agile actions fielding the ball in an athletic position with soft hands. Jayden has a clean exchange leading into a short arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. He plays with momentum through the baseball showing strong, accurate throws across the diamond. Jayden also shows a smooth backhand and good double play feed. Offensively, Jayden has a square, athletic stance with a centered balance and firm front side. He has fluid rhythm with a smooth load and short, on-time stride. Jayden shows fast bat speed with a short, direct swing path. He consistently lands the barrel to the baseball producing hard contact. Jayden is a line drive type hitter who can drive the ball to each gap. On the mound, Jayden works with a good tempo. He has balanced mechanics throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. Jayden has a clean arm action and cuts off his release. He stays square to home plate and can benefit from a longer stride. Jayden commands his fastball filling up the strike zone. Overall, Jayden is a versatile prospect who can take his game to the next level.

08/19/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Kapolei (Honolulu), HI Jayden is a thin, athletic, 2-way player who plays SS and catcher. In the INF, Jayden has quick feet, agile movements, and soft hands. He has smooth actions, a clean exchange, and he throws with accuracy and carry across the diamond. Behind the plate, Jayden has good footwork, he sits in athletically, and has a quick release with pop times as low as 2.62 seconds to 2nd base. Offensively, Jayden has an athletic set-up, he loads well, and he swings in good rhythm. He has fast bat speed, he can work the ball gap to gap, and he uses some lower body. Jayden can improve overall skills with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
