01/15/2016 - Baseball Factory National Spring Training at Pirate City Jayden Royer is a 5'9/150 lbs junior OF that showed good athleticism and intangibles at the Baseball Factory National Spring Training at Pirate City. Offensively, he showed good tracking ability and flashed pull side pop, rotating his core to generate torque and bat whip. He hustled down the line and showed an ability to make adjustments in cage rotations, getting his hands into a position of power to launch. He also worked to implement more lower half drive and more contact point awareness, hitting to all fields. In the OF, his feet worked quickly to get him to a good position to field and he took good angles to cut balls off. He showed an ability to read the ball off the bat and finished plays with accurate throws to his target. Continued development of arm strength and ground ball mechanics will elevate Jayden's game. In all - Jayden is a great kid that showed respect for the game, coaches and teammates, and has a promising future.
