01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Jayden is an athletic OF prospect who showed well at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. In the field, Jayden shows smooth footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate with good backspin through his target. At the plate, this switch hitter sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He gets his hands activated in his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and line drives to all fields. Overall, Jayden is a talented prospect who has the skill set to contribute at the next level.

09/22/2019 - College PREP - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Jayden continues to shine on the diamond and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities. In the OF, he displays smooth, clean actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is outstanding as he reads balls well off the bat and utilizes his athletic feet well in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate, flashing carry but well benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to show as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides. He tracks the ball well and shows a strong recognition of the strike zone. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a solid line drive approach.

02/18/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Jayden is a true switch hitter that has really improved his abilities from both sides of the plate. Hitting abilities are now excellent with outstanding power potential from both sides of the plate. Hands are quick / explosive (86 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a plus feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. In the MIF, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are aggressive as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and he presents well out front. He shows off his athletic abilities on the backhand play. In the OF, he continues to shine. He utilizes his quick/aggressive feet as he moves well laterally, displaying range as he covers a ton of ground. He displays smooth / clean actions with hands / feet working well together through the fielding process as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. Jayden has a big upside and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

09/23/2018 - College PREP - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Jayden continues to show as a prospect as he continues to improve his baseball abilities. Foot speed continues to improve as he ran his best 60 time to date, now an excellent runner at 6.80. In the OF, defensive abilities are now well above average as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he reads balls well off the bat and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to show as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and aggressive as he attacks balls in the zone. Swing path is level and he shows a feel for the barrel through a line drive approach.

04/22/2018 - National Tryout Plus - Grand Rapids, MI Jayden is a thin and athletic 2021 utility player. In the OF, Jayden has an active pre-pitch set up, and fields the ball in an athletic position. He has a quick first step to the ball, reads the ball off the bat well, and works behind the ball. At SS, Jayden has a good prep step and presents a low/early glove. He has a good first step to the ball, funnels the ball into his body, and has a clean exchange. At the plate, Jayden starts in a tall stance and loads his hands back into the drive position. From the left side he stays balanced through contact and keeps a quiet head. From the right side he attacks the inside part of the ball and stays flat through contact. Jayden will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

02/19/2018 - National Tryout Plus - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Jayden is a talented outfield prospect who has skill on both sides of the ball. As a switch-hitter, Jayden has a tall, open stance with a centered balance. He has smooth rhythm with a good load and square stride as his lower half leads his swing. Jayden shows fast bat speed with a direct swing path producing square contact. He consistently lands the barrel to the baseball. Jayden is a line drive type hitter who stays inside the ball. In the field, Jayden plays with active, fluid footwork and an aggressive approach. He presents his glove and fields the ball in an athletic position. Jayden has a quick, clean exchange leading into a short arm action throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. He plays with good momentum through the ball showing strong throws. Overall, Jayden has a well-rounded game with a combination of skill and the right approach.

01/12/2018 - 2018 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Jayden is an athletic and talented OF prospect. In the OF, Jayden has active pre pitch movement and a quick first step to the ball. He works behind the ball and creates momentum with his lower half when he throws. Continuing to follow a long toss program will increase his arm strength. At the plate, Jayden has a still head and has quick hands from both sides of the plate. From the left side, Jayden has a simple approach and gets extension through contact. From the right side he attacks the ball with his lower half and keeps a middle approach. Jayden will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

09/27/2017 - Arizona Freshman Fall Classic Jayden continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.21 runner. He continues to show as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields from both sides through a line drive approach. At the event, he was 6 for 12 with a 2B. In the OF, he displays smooth / athletic actions. He reads balls well off the bat and utilizes his athletic feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes / angles. Range is a plus as he utilizes his quick feet and covers a lot of ground. He works behind the baseball and plays through with momentum to his target and gets rid of the baseball quickly. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best he can be.

09/24/2017 - College PREP - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Jayden is an athletic OF prospect who continues to show improvements on the field. In the OF, Jayden shows fluid footwork and is very agile tracking down fly balls. He gets into an athletic position and fields ground balls with soft hands. He has a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws and keeps them consistently on-line to his target. Jayden can improve defensively by building up his arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, this switch hitter shows well from both sides. He sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth getting back into his load and maintains center balance. He takes a level swing with decent bat speed which leads to square contact and line drives. Jayden can improve as a hitter by driving his lower half through more. With four more years to develop, Jayden has the time and potential to further progress his skills.

02/20/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Jayden is an athletic, 2-way player at 2B/OF. In the infield, he displays quick footwork as he moves well from right to left. He gives solid feeds on DP turns with a clean exchange to throw. In the OF, he presents his hands out in front and makes the tough plays. He gets rid of the ball with a quick release and fires on line throws to his target. At the plate, Jayden tracks with a quiet head. He has a smooth rhythm to load as he rips his barrel quickly through the zone. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
