07/29/2016 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Jayson is a lean, lanky athlete who works hard to improve every day. He showed good speed throughout the session (7.5 second 60 time) on the bases and in the field. On the mound, he gets to a good balance point and engages his hips to drive towards the plate and generate velocity. He keeps his eyes on target throughout his delivery and strides directly to the plate. Loosening his arm swing will allow him to throw harder and will also lead to better command. At the plate, Jayson shows good contact ability with smooth rhythm in his swing. He also hustles out of the box, making infielders have to speed up to get him at first. Jayson is a tough kid who we look forward to watching progress.
