10/17/2015 - 2015 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures South Since we last saw Arnold in November 2014, he has trimmed over four tenths off his 60 yard dash (down from 7.26 to 6.81) and he has started to fill out his well-proportioned frame. His right-handed stroke is coordinated and features a short route to the ball. He maintains bat speed through the zone, allowing for hard contact back up the middle along with the ability to drive the ball to the pull side with a wood bat. Defensively, he spun his throws across the infield from a compact arm stroke and maintained control of his actions. His hands work well out front, and he shows good feel for creating proper angles to play routine balls. It seems a safe bet that he continues to grow and fill out, at which point he likely slides to 3B -- where he will probably fit better defensively. Overall, a talented all around player with vastly improved speed to go with a quality right-handed bat.

11/01/2014 - 2014 Under Armour Showcase: Futures South Arnold improved both his 60 yard dash (down from 7.4 to 7.26) and raw velocity (up from 81 to 87 mph) at this event. He also showed rhythm to hit, along with a fluid and loose right handed stroke. When he stayed short to contact he extended thru very well. He has a good foundation to build on as a young hitter. Defensively, he showed solid actions and good body control. He moved well underway, and showed solid hands to play the ball. His throws got across the infield with better zip that we had previously seen. Overall, a talented young 2017 with promise offensively and defensively.

07/11/2014 - 2014 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Team One South Arnold is a skilled SS who has a lean/athletic, projectable frame (6'0"/165 lbs). With the bat is where he excels through a smooth approach. He shows rhythm and works back into a strong loaded position. Barrel delivery is quick with good bat whip as he connects and drives the ball up the middle of the field. At SS, he actively works around the ground ball as he moves light on his feet. Clean/quick exchange allows him to get rid of the ball effectively into his 1st baseman's chest. A 2017 grad - Jecorrah is a talent who has a bright future ahead of him in the game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
