06/03/2017 - 2017 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National West Jeff is a strong built 3B prospect who plays the game athletically and has an above average raw skill set. As a right-handed hitter, Jeff has an athletic, square setup with a centered balance and quiet head. He has a good load with a square stride as he uses his lower half throughout his swing. Jeff shows fast bat speed with a short, direct swing path producing hard, consistent contact. He has a simple approach and shows power to the pull side. At the hot corner, Jeff plays with effective footwork and body control as he moves well laterally. He presents his glove and fields the ball squarely with a consistent approach. He has a clean exchange leading into a short arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. He has a quick release and his throws are accurate with online carry. Overall, Jeff has talent on both sides of the ball and good potential to make a difference at the next level.

04/09/2017 - College PREP - Costa Mesa (Los Angeles), CA Jeff continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. He continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, hitting abilities have really improved, now showing near a pro level. He has strength in his swing (91mph exit velocity) with the baseball exploding off the bat when centered. Hands stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields and consistently find the barrel with gap to gap pop. Power will continue to improve as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At 3B, he continues to shine as he displays quick / athletic actions. Feet are active / aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Hands are soft / sure and he presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Feet / hands work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with on line carry across the diamond. Jeff will get looks from the top collegiate coaches and pro scouts with his baseball abilities.

09/24/2016 - 2016 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures West Jeff has a unique combination of size, strength, speed and power. Standing 6'3"/215 he shows surprising athleticism - as evidenced by his 6.82 time in the 60. He makes loud contact at the plate and shows leverage power, though his stroke is geared to more of a line drive plane. HIs swing is coordinated and the ball comes off hard. As a defender Jeff can play multiple infield positions utilizing sound footwork and dependable hands. He can throw from different arm slots and has the arm to play on the left side of the diamond. Overall, this is a future run producer with strength and athleticism who is a prospect to follow closely.

01/15/2016 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Jeff continues to shine on the diamond. This power hitting righty can change the game with one swing of the bat. Hands are quick as he zips the barrel through the zone with speed and connects with strength. The ball explodes off of his barrel as he drives it to all parts of the field. At SS, Jeff has quick actions with fluid footwork moving right to left through the GB. He has a clean transfer from glove to hand with accuracy on his throws across the diamond. Jeff is a projectable athlete who will make things happen in a variety of ways on the diamond.

07/20/2015 - 2015 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National West This talented R/R corner INF continues to shine. At the plate, Jeff has a solid base with rhythm to load. Barrel delivery is quick with speed as he squares the ball up and sprays the gaps. At 3B, he takes good angles around the GB and presents his glove fielding the ball out in front. He makes and backhand play smoothly with ease and gains ground toward 1B. Jeff is a skilled (6'3"/195) 3B who has a bright future ahead of him in the game.

04/12/2015 - National Tryout - Costa Mesa (Los Angeles), CA Jeff showed as a SS/RHP for the first time at the event with improvements in his baseball abilities and a promising future on the diamond. Currently, he projects best at SS for the next level. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a solid runner at 7.34. In the IF, he continues to show improvements in his defensive abilities, displaying smooth / fluid actions. Hands / feet work well through the fielding process and he plays through with momentum to his target. He shows a feel for the backhand and moves well laterally, displaying range. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss. At the plate, he continues to improvements through a squared / balanced setup. Hands are quick, generating plus bat speed through a level swing path and aggressive approach. He has tremendous strength in his swing as he works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields as he shows a feel for the barrel with baseball exploding off the bat when centered, displaying gap to gap pop. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 70-74 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Stock on mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength and throws more strikes.

01/16/2015 - Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Jeff is a well rounded athlete at 3B who has a solid/projectable build (6'3"/195). Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
