08/29/2021 - All-In Membership - Boise, ID Jeff is a strong 1B/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2022. At the plate, this RHH shows an advanced approach through a tall setup. He gets into his load and leads well with his lower half. He works through a level swing with fast bat speed, driving the ball from gap to gap with authority (90mph exit velo). In the field, Jeff shows active footwork and moves well laterally. He makes the routine plays and keeps his throws accurate/on-line to his target. On the mound, Jeff operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 77mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 70-72mph with late 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 69-71mph with arm side run as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Overall, Jeff is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
