01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Jeremiah continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities at the Preseason All American Rookie event. Behind the plate, feet are active as he gains ground and works through a clean / transfer exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest pop time to date at 2.31. Throws display accuracy with times continuing to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Hands are soft as he lets the ball travel and tracks well, sticking in the zone. He utilizes his body through the blocking process but needs to work to get down sooner. At the plate, power potential is now well above average through an open setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He utilizes his lower half well and has strength in his swing with gap to gap pop. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 73 mph. Fastball showed a range of 70-73 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a toss program.

01/08/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament (MS) Jeremiah continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. Behind the plate he shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with soft glove. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date with accuracy on his throws. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through an open setup. He has fluid rhythm while getting good hand separation. Hands are quick and work to and through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, he shows good tempo through a repeatable delivery allowing his arm to work well to the plate. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 70 mph. Fastball showed a range of 67-70 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with tight spin and great depth. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. Control is solid as he attacks hitter and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 4 years to further develop, Jeremiah has the makings of a special type player as he continues to progress his game.

11/08/2019 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Jeremiah is an athletic and talented 2-way prospect that made significant adjustments throughout the week. At the hot corner, Jerimiah has efficient footwork to the ball, he presents a low/early glove, and works from the ground up. He has a clean exchange and makes the routine play. He needs to continue improve his first step and play through his backhand. At the plate, Jerimiah starts in an open stance, he gets his front foot down on time, and is aggressive to the ball. He needs to continue to load his hands back into the drive positon, attack the inside part of the ball, and create backside drive with his lower half. On the bump, Jerimiah has a loose arm action, he has a consistent landing, and gets extension over the front side. He pounds his fastball down in the zone and he isn’t afraid to attack hitters. Jeremiah is a hard worker will continue to improve with experience.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
