Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • OF/LHPPosition Projection

08/02/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Hoover (Birmingham), AL Jeremiah is an OF/LHP prospect who will graduate in 2024. Tall frame lean build with some strength present and room to develop. In the OF, shows efficient/fluid feet and ability to cover ground. Works around the baseball and fields from an athletic/square fielding position with soft hands. Long/loose arm action in back working into a low 3/4 arm slot coming forward, with accurate throws, and an arm velocity of 73mph. A left-handed pitcher, works with good rhythm and has a loose arm. Gathers over the rubber, with eyes on target, and separates on time. Throws a FB that sat 68-71mph with some arm side run, a 2/8 shaped breaking ball, and a changeup he throws with FB arm speed and good movement in zone. Good feel on his CH and it was his best pitch during bullpen session. A left-handed hitter begins with a crouched and square stance. Quiet head/eyes enable him to track pitches well, with good balance at contact, and a flat barrel path through the zone. Made consistent contact with good extension out front. Hit line drives into both gaps with a bat exit velocity of 79mph during his round of BP. With 3 more years of growth and development, we foresee him having a bright future on the baseball diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
