08/02/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Jerrette continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. He did show at SS for the first time at the event. At the plate, hitting abilities have improved through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel and has strength in his swing with gap-to-gap pop. At SS, hands are clean but needs to present more out front. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls but will benefit by playing through with his body. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 76 mph. Fastball showed a range of 72-76 mph with cutting action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with tailing action. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and a very hard worker.
