01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Jett is a SS/RHP prospect who showed well at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. In the field, Jett shows active footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into a low position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a crouched stance and takes a controlled stride. He is fluid getting into a simple load and remains centered in his lower half. He takes a short swing with good bat speed, leading to solid contact. On the mound, Jett is controlled gathering to his balance point and works with quick arm. He stays inline towards the plate and finishes with a controlled landing. Jett shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 81mph with cutting action. Breaking ball sits from 65-68mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 70-73mph with arm side run. Overall, Jett is a talented prospect who should find success going into his sophomore season.

04/28/2019 - College PREP - Phoenix, AZ Jett is an athletic SS/RHP prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. At SS, Jett shows fluid footwork and takes good angles to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate and on-line to his target. Taking a better prep step can help Jett improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He gets into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He works to barrel up the baseball and drives to all fields. Jett can improve as a hitter by working a smoother rhythm into his load. On the mound, Jett gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a quick arm and stays inline towards the plate, finishing square to his target. Jett shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 78mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 66-68mph with 10-4 break. Changeup sits from 70-71mph with good arm side run as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Extending through his release can help Jett improve as a pitcher. With three more years to develop, Jett has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

09/26/2018 - Arizona Freshman Fall Classic Jett is an athletic SS prospect who hustled all over the field during his time at the Arizona Freshman Fall Classic. In the field, Jett shows quick footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front. He makes a clean exchange with a quick release on his throws, keeping them accurate and on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He is fluid getting into his load and takes a direct swing to the ball, leading to solid contact to all fields. With four more years to develop, Jett has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

01/12/2018 - 2018 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Jett is an athletic 2022 SS prospect. At SS, Jett has active pre pitch movement and presents a low/early glove. He has a clean exchange and throws from multiple arm slots. Continuing to be aggressive and creating angles to the ball will allow him to have more range at the position. At the plate, Jett has a simple approach and loads his hands back into the launch position. He attacks the inside part of the ball and stays balanced through contact. Continuing to get stronger and utilizing his backside will allow him to drive with power to all fields. Jett will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

07/18/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Jett continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate, hitting / power through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. At SS, he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are aggressive in attacking balls but needs to play through more with his body. Glove action is soft / clean and presents well out front. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds / turns of the double play. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

07/24/2016 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 Jett is a lean, athletic SS who has a promising future on the diamond. At SS, feet are active / aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through a low approach while presenting glove well out front. Hands / feet work well together through the fielding process. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds / turns of the double play. Defensive grade will continue to improve as he increases foot quickness. At the plate he shows best an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing the whole field, gap to gap. At the event, he was 4 for 9 with 2 2B. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and plays the game hard. With 5 years to further develop, Jett has a lot of potential with time and room to continue to progress his game. Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.
