07/22/2021 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (MS) Jhett continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 3B, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases his foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 70 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

07/23/2020 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Jhett is a coachable 3B/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series at Pirate City. In the field, Jhett makes the routine plays and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. Getting into a more athletic fielding position can help Jhett improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a closed stance and takes a short stride. He shows fluid rhythm and hits against a strong front side. He works to barrel up the baseball and sprays to all fields. Jhett can improve as a hitter by getting more extension through the ball. On the mound, Jhett gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and finishes with a controlled landing. Jhett shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 67mph with cutting action. Breaking ball sits from 60-61mph with 10-4 break. Changeup sits at 54mph with tailing action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Striding square toward the plate can help Jhett improve as a pitcher. With five more years to develop, Jhett has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

02/23/2020 - Accelerated Interactive Video Program - Parker (Denver), CO Jhett is an athletic RHP/3B prospect who will graduate in 2025. In the field, Jhett shows efficient footwork and takes good angles to the ball. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and keeps his throws accurate and on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a square stride. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
