07/30/2021 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Jackie Robinson Training Complex (MS) Jimmy is an OF/2B who will graduate in 2027. Medium frame athletic build with strength to come. In the OF, starts with active feet and takes decent routes to balls. Shows ability to work behind and through the ball while keeping his feet active. Good glove angle as he fields the ball off of his left foot with a clean gather. A right-handed hitter, hits from an athletic and tall stance. Smooth swing that swings with intent. Rotates hips as he gets his hips through the swing with good extension. Hard/square contact and ability to hit line drives into both gaps. Hit multiple balls hard in live game action with a bat exit velocity of 65mph. With continued development, we foresee him having the opportunity to play at the next level.

02/14/2021 - All-In Membership - Hoover (Birmingham), AL Jimmy is an OF/2B prospect who will graduate in 2026. In the field, Jimmy shows active footwork and covers ground well. He fields the ball out in front of his body and makes accurate/on-line throws through his target. Getting into a more athletic fielding position can help Jimmy field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance with center balance. He is fluid to load and drives through well with his lower half. He works through a level swing with fast bat speed, producing consistent line drives. Jimmy can generate more pop off the barrel by getting his hands activated in his load. With five more years to develop, Jimmy has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
