02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (HS - West) JJ is a 2024 2B. Medium frame athletic build with room to fill out and add strength. Primary second baseman with a short arm action and a 3/4 arm slot. Deliberate actions with arm strength recorded up to 72 mph across the diamond. Low field and exchange who fields out front with soft hands. Right-handed hitter with a square and even stance. Gets on plane and the hands work well into the swing. Good contact guy who was 5 for 6 in live game action. Projects for gap to gap power with additional strength. Four years of continued growth and development will bode well for his career at the next level.

04/15/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Fayetteville, AR JJ is a young, 2nd baseman with a thin frame. Defensively, JJ has fluid/efficient footwork, he fields in a low/athletic position, and he fields the ball cleanly. He keeps the ball in front, his exchange is quick and clean, and throws with accuracy from a short arm action to his target. Offensively, JJ has a square set-up, an aggressive swing, and a good bat angle. He makes square contact, uses his lower body, and can hit to all fields. JJ can improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
