01/12/2018 - 2018 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Joe showed well during his time at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. Defensively at SS, he has fluid rhythm with athletic/quick actions working from right to left around and through the GB. He has a smooth transfer with a quick release firing strong throws across the diamond. As a hitter, Joe maintains a crouched stance with centered balance. Hands are quick as he whips the barrel through the zone and connects with pop (exit velocity = 88 mph). On the mound, Joe pounds the zone with a FB now topping out at 90 mph that has late life. Slider has 10/4 shape with early break. He works the ball in and out and challenges hitters to swing the bat. Joe possesses the tools that will translate well into a very high level of play.

01/15/2016 - Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Joe has been a fun player to watch develop over the last 3 years. He has continued to impress from a fundamental standpoint. His displayed great presentation of his glove with a clean transition on throws to 1B. Joe can focus on his exchange to throw on double play turns to add value to his fielding ability. Biancone has shown the most improvement on the mound. His fastball ranges between 78-81MPH with a clean arm action and rhythm through his delivery. Joe can continue to work on developing his off speed pitches to keep hitters off balance. Offensively, Biancone has maintained easy actions at the plate with excellent rhythm. He can focus on keeping his hands closer to his body while letting the ball travel to utilize the opposite field. Overall, Joe continues to stay on track improving his development.

08/22/2015 - College PREP - West Harrison (NYC), NY Joe is a young (2019 grad) R/R MIF. Defensively, he shows active prep and is ready to go right or left. He works into a square fielding position, tracks the GB into his mitt and gathers well. Playing through the ball more and gaining ground toward his target will help to improve abilities on the left side of the INF. With the bat, Joe shows a square setup with rhythm in his hands. He swings on a level path and connects, spraying the ball to all parts of the field. Relaxing/loosening his grip will help to allow for more bat-whip which will increase power at the plate. Only a 2019 grad - Biancone still has a ton of time to develop on the diamond.

12/27/2014 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic - Session 2 Joe is a talented two way player that plays SS and also pitches. In the infield he has quick feet, fields with soft hands, and shows the proper footwork with his approach. He has a quick exchange and makes strong throws across the diamond with good carry. At the plate he has an open stance, good load, and strong balance. He made consistent contact and has an advanced approach for his age. On the mound Joe is a competitor and showed a good mound presence. He has good command of his fastball and pounds the zone. He gets ahead of hitters and has clean mechanics allowing him to repeat his delivery. Joe is a coachable player that wants to get better. With his attitude and skills, he should be a player to watch as he gets older.

02/16/2014 - National Tryout - Brentwood (Long Island), NY Joe showed very well both offensively and defensively during his last workout in Long Island. At the plate, Joe has good balance, quick hands, and his swing is level. He has an activated load, good bat speed, and he makes solid contact on the barrel of the bat. At SS, Joe has active footwork, good body control, and soft / sure hands. He works through the ball well and has a quick release to his target.

12/27/2013 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic Joe is a great kid with a high baseball IQ and is a very good teammate. As an infielder he was very impressive. Joe displayed good quickness, body control/ footwork, and fields the ball out front. He can improve by strengthening his arm and continuing to polish his infield skills. At the plate Joe showed good balance, rhythm, and consistency. He can improve by being more aggressive, while letting the ball travel into the proper hitting zone (do not reach). As he physically matures his skills should improve to match his intelligence, as long as he continues to polish his tools.

07/31/2013 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Vero Beach (Ages 12-14) Joe is a very promising young SS/RHP that shows very well offensively. At the dish, he generates fast bat speed, has smooth actions, excellent rhythm and shows an ability to drive the ball. At short, he is athletic, sure handed and has good range and field presence. When he jumps on the bump, he throws two pitches for strikes, with clean arm action and a repeatable delivery. Currently, he projects best as a SS that makes plays and hits well above average for his age.

07/15/2013 - Interactive Video Program - Trenton, NJ Joe is a SS/RHP that will graduate in 2019. Offensively, he has an athletic setup and shows good rhythm. He shows a line-drive approach and good lower-half use, allowing for square contact. In the infield, he plays low and athletically with sure hands and a clean exchange. He has smooth actions and good footwork. On the bump, he throws three pitches for strikes with his fastball topping out at 61 MPH. His best off-speed pitch is his 11/5 breaking ball that will continue to increase as his arm speed develops. In all, Joe has years left to continue developing and honing his playing ability.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
