08/01/2012 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 Joe showed as a 2B and for the first time on the mound as a RHP. Currently, he projects best at 2B for the next level. His feet are active as he displays proper footwork around the bag and displays clean hands. He needs to attack ground balls, play through, and present his hands more out front to improve defensive grades. Throws are accurate through a loose arm action but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a balanced approach with rhythm. His hands are quick, flashing bat speed through a level swing path. Power numbers will continue to rise as he learns to use his lower half more. On the mound, his fastball showed a range of 65-70 mph. His breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Mental makeup is a plus as he is a quality team guy, is very coachable, and works hard.
