01/11/2008 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America - 2008 Joe has a strong, athletic looking body with lots of athletic ability. He shows as a two player at SS and on the mound but currently projects best on the mound. He shows well above average arm strength, topping out at 87 mph. He also displays two well above average off speed pitches. His change up flashes the signs of an outstanding pitch and may be his best pitch. Joe showed outstanding command of all three of his pitches. In the infield and at the plate, Joe shows solid average ability. He needs to continue to work on the mound where he will prosper. He has 3 quality pitches with a ton of potential.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
