07/16/2022 - Baseball Factory National World Series at IMG Academy- Session 1 (HS) Jack is a SS in the 2024 class. Scouts were impressed recently with his work ethic and the willingness to put in the extra work to improve daily. Classified as an exceptional teammate and leader. In the field, he has relaxed actions and is agile in his movements. Generates solid angles in his groundball pursuit. Plays low to the ground and reads hops. Getting the heel of the glove out earlier will allow him to field more out in front and create middle of the body separation. This will allow his feet to sync with his arm and work through the ball. At the plate, his barrel stays in the zone well. He is a line drive hitter and shows pull side production. Has comfortable hands and a soft stride. Engaging hi lower half will allow him to stay in his legs longer and increase his power production. Overall, Jack is a solid prospect and has a bright future on the diamond.

01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament (HS) Jack is a 2024 SS/RHP prospect who showcased his skills at the Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament. At SS, creates good fielding angles to his backhand side and ability to play through the ball. Show a quick transfer into a 3/4 release point and an arm velocity up to 71mph. Made consistent throws across diamond. Right-handed pitcher who showed some deception to his delivery and works downhill. He has a controlled landing and rotates to his target. 2 pitch pitcher whose FB topped out at 70mph with some tailing action and a 10/4 shaped breaking ball. In 3 innings of work, he struck out 3 batters and only allowed 1 hit. Right-handed hitter begins with an upright and open stance. A quiet head and level eyes enable him to track pitches well. Showed good plate discipline and only offered at balls in the strike zone. He sprayed balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 72mph. In live game action, Jack reached base 4 times with 2 singles and 2 base on balls. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we see Jack having a bright future on the baseball field.

12/20/2021 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 1 Jack is a 2024 SS/RHP who showcased his skills at the Pirate City Tournament. At SS, he showed good rhythm to his actions and ability to cover ground. Creates good fielding angles and ability to play through the ball. Show good glove action and fields the ball out front. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with accurate throws across diamond and an arm velocity of 76mph. Right-handed pitcher who gathers over and works in-line to target. Picks up target early, with good extension out front, and works with good tempo. Attacks hitters with a FB that topped out at 69mph and an 11/5 shaped breaking ball. In 3 innings of work, he induced soft contact and struck out 2 batters. At the plate, this right-handed hitter begins with an upright and open stance with comfortable hand set. Athletic setup, with good balance, as he showed good feel for barrel. Sprayed balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity of 74mph. In live game action, he reached base 4 times with a single, 2 walks, and reached on an error. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we can see him making huge strides on the baseball field.

Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic with Video Showcase (HS - East) John is a class of 2024 SS/RHP prospect. On the mound, he works with simple mechanics. Showed good mound presence. Fastball worked up to 69 MPH. Also showed a breaking ball with 11-5 shape. Showed a changeup with some arm side run. In the field, he showed active feet and the ability to work downhill. Showed quick and clean exchanges and an accurate arm. At the plate, he showed a quiet and simple swing. Drove the ball to the middle of the field. Got into a good launch position by getting his knob to the catcher. John is a good player with a bright future.

08/29/2021 - All-In Membership - Boise, ID Jack is a SS/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2024. In the field, Jack shows active footwork and moves well to his glove side. He gets into a low position and fields with a firm glove. His exchange is clean and he gets rid of the ball quickly, making accurate/on-line throws to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a crouched stance and takes his stride on time. He is smooth to load and leads well with his lower half. He works through a level swing with fast bat speed, producing strong line drives. On the mound, Jack operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 68mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 61-63mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 64-66mph with arm side run. Overall, Jack is a solid prospect who has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
