07/29/2015 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 John shows signs of the next level player as he enters his final season as a high school athlete. At the plate, he hits from a square and balanced stance with a quiet head. He works with extension through the zone and with use of his lower 1/2 and shortening his swing, his hitting abilities will take the next level jump. Although John's trip was shortened with possible injury, he continues to show improvement.

03/15/2015 - College PREP - Waco, TX Jack is an athletic 6'1/185 lbs third basemen that ran a 7.0 sixty in his first outing with Baseball Factory. Offensively, he showed strong feel to hit with activated hands and quick bat speed. He worked to get extended out in front and with more lower half drive will begin to make frequently hard contact. Defensively, he worked with good body control to get into his fielding position on-time. He moved very well laterally and was solid with his double play feeds. Becoming more sure with his glove by getting his hands in front and throwing with more lower half will improve defensive feel. All in all - Jack is a projectable player that has another year to add strength for the next level.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
