At John's 4th event he continues to show improvement. His 60-time is now under a 7, which is well above average and his best time to this date. In the OF, he continues to improve his reads and routes to balls. At the plate, he shows a strong/athletic setup making sure he keeps his head still allowing for a more consistent swing. He connects and drives the ball to all fields. By loosening up his actions at the plate, John will see his abilities improve. John has skills and his hard work will soon pay off.
05/04/2014 - National Tryout - Adrian (Detroit), MI
John continues to progress. This solidly built OF can cover some ground as he gets quicker every time we see him. He works behind the fly-ball and moves through it well, delivering accurate throws to his target. At the plate, this LH shows an athletic setup with patience. He remains short/compact to and through the zone, hitting the ball on a line. More lower 1/2 drive will result in increased power at the plate. He is a quick-twitch MIF who has solid all-around skills.
08/05/2013 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2
John continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a well above average runner at 7.15. He utilizes his feet well in taking proper routes / angles in tracking down balls and has improved defensive grade. He plays hard and works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a balanced setup with rhythm and strength in his swing. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed through a level swing path. Barrel accuracy is a plus with baseball jumping off the bat when centered. Mental makeup is a plus as he is a hard worker and is very coachable.

John is a solid, athletic OF that will graduate in 2016. Foot speed is solid as indicated by his 7.37 60 time. Feet are active as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls but needs to work on getting behind balls more to play through and improve defensive grade. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate is where John shows best through an athletic setup. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields and shows a feel for the barrel with baseball jumping off his bat when centered. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. With 3 years to further develop, John has a lot of potential and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches as he continues to improve.
