07/27/2012 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City John Pollock is a 2016 graduate who plays the outfield and also pitches. In the outfield John is on time with his fielding position and stays athletic in the field. He is raw with his talents and abilities in the outfield, but shows the willingness to learn and make adjustments. He gets behind the ball well and should be a nice outfielder at the next level. At the plate he has a balanced set up, uses his lower half well, and has a good rhythm at the plate. He has potential power and needs to continue to work on being consistent with his contact and being more aggressive. On the mound John has a good tempo and nice mound presence. His fastball has good arm side run with some sink and he stays around the zone. He throws a curveball for a good change of pace, but needs to work on throwing this pitch for strikes to be more effective.
