07/06/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - New Britain (Hartford), CT
Jomar continues to work hard and progress on the diamond. This RHP has a 3-pitch mix in which he pounds the zone and throws strikes with. He maintains fluid rhythm/tempo, stays directional and repeats his delivery well. FB now sits in the low 70's as he works it in and out. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape as he can throw it for strikes in any count. Changeup is thrown with FB arm speed, helping to create deception. Continuing to develop his CH release (not throwing it too hard) will help to improve effectiveness. As a hitter, Jomar shows a square setup with centered balance working back into a loaded position. He takes a hack with intent and looks to drive the ball. He hits it where it's pitched, spraying it to all parts of the field. This 2023 grad has tools with still a lot of time to develop to get to where he wants to be.

Jomar is a hardworking player who is very coachable and has a great attitude. At 3B, he displays smooth/clean actions. Hands are clean and present well out front. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls but will benefit by playing through with his body. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup and an aggressive approach. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays on plane and makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 56-59 mph. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.
