08/04/2019 - College PREP - Dublin (Columbus), OH Jon-Micah ran his best 60 to date at 7.04 seconds, and raised radar velocity to 77 MPH during his last workout with The Factory. Behind the plate, Jon-Micah sits in squarely, footwork is efficient, and he gains ground well. He keeps the ball in front when blocking, his exchange is clean, and he throws with accuracy and consistency from a long arm action to 2nd base. Looser actions and a softer glove will help catching skills improve. In the OF, Jon-Micah has active feet, a presentable glove, and he shows good hustle to the ball. He fields cleanly, plays through, and has a quick release to his cut off man. At the plate, Jon-Micah has a square set-up, good balance, and he tracks the ball well. He swings on plane and shows the ability to work the ball gap to gap. Hitting can further improve with with a looser grip, better rhythm, and letting the ball travel deeper into the hitting zone.
