10/14/2017 - 2017 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures South Jonathan is a corner infielder with a large frame (6'3"/225) and natural hitting actions. His left-handed stroke is rhythmic and fluid with a hanging leg kick to get him on time. His hands control the barrel very well and he is able to center balls consistently. His quiet confidence in the box is evident, as quality at bats seem like the norm for him. In addition to the barrel accuracy, Jonathan has the ability to drive balls, especially to the pull side (93 mph exit velocity). As a defender, Jonathan can play either corner IF spot with good hands and instincts. His highest ceiling may ultimately be at 1B, but his versatility is certainly appealing. Jonathan is an interesting follow as pure LHHs who can drive in runs are always in demand.
