12/27/2018 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic (Ages 14-18) Jonathan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 1B, he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range will continue to increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a compact swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At the event, he was 4 for 9 with a 3B. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 79 mph. Fastball shows a range of 77-79 mph. Breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with gradual break. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and plays the game hard.

10/28/2018 - College PREP - Santa Rosa, CA Jonathan is a tall, athletic LHP/1B who has a promising future on the diamond. On the mound, delivery is sound / repeatable allowing his arm action to work free to the plate. He shows good tempo through a strong balance point and throws from a high arm slot. Fastball showed a range of 77-78 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with late / sharp break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup and shows a plus feel for pitch with sinking action. Slider is harder with tight spin and short break. Off speed stuff show as quality pitches that will get outs at the next level. Control is outstanding as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At 1B, he displays smooth fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft and presents well out front. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. At the plate, hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. With 2 years to further develop, Jonathan has the making of a special type player and will get looks from the collegiate coaches, possibly as a two-way guy as he continue to progress his game.

However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14).
