He utilizes his quick/aggressive feet as he moves well laterally, displaying range as he covers a ton of ground. He displays smooth/clean actions with hands/feet working well together through the fielding process as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and zip (94 mph velocity) on his throws. This righty has a 3 pitch arsenal in which to keep hitters guessing. FB jumps out of his hand (87 mph) and shows with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. He works tall and drives downhill, repeating well. Jonathan has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

09/15/2018 - 2018 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures East Jonathan is an athletic two-way prospect who showed well at the Futures East showcase. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
