06/18/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (HS) Jonathan is a 2B/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2023. Medium frame, well proportioned, athletic build with strength present and plenty of room to add more strength. At 2B, he starts with efficient footwork and ability to create good fielding angles. Ability to throw from multiple arm slots, with accurate/on-line throws, and an arm velocity of 83mph. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber and coils into his rear hip. 2 pitch mix with his fastball sitting 76-78mph and a developing breaking ball with 11/5 shape. In 3 innings of work, he recorded 3 strikeouts. At the plate, he sets up in an upright and open stance. Small hand load, with good separation, and gets extended through contact. Hit hard line drives to all fields and reached base 3 times in live game action with a bat exit velocity of 83mph. With continued growth and development, we foresee Jonathan having opportunities to play at the next level.

05/02/2021 - All-In Membership - Fort Lauderdale, FL Jonathan is a 2023 SS/RHP. Medium frame athletic build with high hips and a projectable frame with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.19 60-yard dash. Primary SS, active feet as he creates good fielding angles. Works low to high with a low funnel and clean exchange. Showed ability to stay low on balls to his back hand. Throws from multiple arm angles with accurate/on-line throws across diamond at 83mph. Right-handed pitcher who works downhill and has a strong frontside. Separates on time as he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with good extension. Throws a FB that topped out at 78mph with some tailing action through the zone. Mixed in an 11/5 shaped curveball with good depth. CB was his best pitch during his bullpen. Flashed a changeup that he throws with FB arm speed and some cut. A right-handed hitter, he begins with an upright stance and even stance. Balanced setup who gets some load to start his swing. Showed ability to spray balls to all fields with a recorded bat exit velocity of 76mph. Two years of continued growth and development, we foresee Jonathan having opportunities to play at the next level.

11/07/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Pompano Beach, FL Jonathan is an athletic SS/RHP prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. At SS, Jonathan shows fluid footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields with soft hands. His exchange is clean and he gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth to load and drives through well with his lower half. He generates fast bat speed through the zone and produces loud line drives and gap to gap pop. On the mound, Jonathan gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and extends through his release, staying inline toward the plate. Jonathan shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 76mph with cutting action. Breaking ball sits from 57-58mph with 10-4 break. Changeup sits from 56-58mph with cutting action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Overall, Jonathan is a talented prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Jonathan is a lean and athletic 2B/OF that attended the Pre-Season Rookie All-American. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
