Offensively, Jonathan uses a balanced approach with a quiet load to be on time consistently from there his LH swing has above average bat speed and gets the barrel in the contact zone early and with his body control and hand path stays through the zone for a long time. His profile is currently above average hit tool and gap power, but his frame and projection show an ability to be power profile corner hitter. Athletically, he runs well and is continuing to improve his speed show the potential to play all 3 OF spots with the arm strength to hold down RF at next level, but the body control and athleticism to play CF and the offensive potential to play LF, while also adding the footwork, hands and feel for playing 1b. His LH delivery on the mound is repeatable with body control and a quick arm that will add velocity and his ability to control three pitches within the strike zone make him a unique 2-way prospect. Overall, Jonathan is a high follow for the 2025 class as position player who has 2-way potential on the mound.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
